Claude is an INSEAD IDP-C and ILA Certified Director. He has worked in the financial industry since 1982. He is an Independent Non-Executive Fund Director. He has extensive knowledge in the Alternative Fund Industry, particularly, in Hedge Funds, sophisticated UCITS, Funds of Hedge Funds, Real Estate and Private Equity. He started his career in the Financial Accounting and Budgeting Department of a Luxembourg subsidiary of a major US Bank before joining TSB Luxembourg and later on The Bank of Bermuda in Luxembourg, where he was Head of Treasury and Trading Operations. Between 1998 and 2002 he was Treasurer Europe and The Middle East and Global Head of Foreign Exchange before the Bank was acquired by HSBC Ltd. In 2002, he took on the position of Sales Director for Continental Europe for the Bank covering hedge fund administration and custody. During this time, he also headed the Relationship Management team. He was promoted to the position of Head of Business Development and was responsible for the local Client Relationship Management and Sales teams. He was also responsible for Marketing, Credit Origination and Product Management. In 2008, he joined Fortis Prime Fund Solutions in Luxembourg as Director of Sales & Relationship Management. In 2010, he was Managing Director of ABN AMRO Fund Services (Luxembourg) S.A. and of ABN AMRO Bank Ltd. Ireland, Luxembourg branch, also known as Prime Fund Solutions, one of the main providers of administrative services to the Alternative Investment Industry at that moment in time. Following the sale of ABN Amro Fund Services to Credit Suisse, he took on the role as Director Sales Management. In 2013, Claude decided to become an Independent Non-Executive director for Investment Funds, but took on a part-time role in 2014 as Head of Business Development for a US based Class Action Recovery Services company, a role that he has given up in 2016 in order to be able to concentrate exclusively on his directorships. Claude is resident in Luxembourg. He is fluent in English, French, German and Luxembourgish. He has followed the INSEAD International Directors Programme (IDP-C) in order to seek the Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs’ (ILA) Director Certification which he successfully achieved in 2016.
